Our Mission, Your Legacy
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was established in 1909 as an interracial endeavor to advance justice for African Americans. The organization aimed to secure for all people the rights guaranteed in the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Constitution, which promised an end to slavery, provide equal protection of the law, and the right for all men to vote, respectively.
The Ambler Branch
The Ambler Branch was charted on October 14, 1940. This was a critical time in the history of this nation. We carry on the same determination and fight that established this branch because the voices of all generations deserve to be represented and heard. It's not just about where we've gone, it's also about where we're headed. The Ambler Branch needs aspiring leaders, like you to join the battle for Freedom, Justice and Equality.
Where You and I are Going
Are you or have you wanting to get active in your community, and maybe you just didn't know how or where to start? The Ambler Branch of the NAACP may just be your new home. The Ambler Branch is focused on uniting the voice of the Black Community in this area to produce economic development and empowerment. Where is our voice, our needs, and our support? Together we can tackle the inequality and establish a voice that is heard. You and I can move the needle forward, together. It's time to get off the sideline and join the Ambler Branch NAACP.

Shaykh Anwar A M. Muhammad
President
Shaykh Anwar A M. Muhammad is a published author and proprietor of The Black Reserve Bookstore. He has been extremely active in the community since the arrival of him and his family to the area in 2012. He has served in the capacity of branch president in the past and as of September of 2023 he was reappointed and recently (December 2024) was elected back in office by the general membership. He is a true community leader and organizer who beats the drum for change.

January 2025
The Ambler Branch of the NAACP is kicking off the New Year with it's installation of new Leadership at Upper Gwynedd Township Administrative Building located at 1 Parkside Place, North Wales, PA 19454 on January 20th, 2025.
February 2025
The Ambler Branch of the NAACP is celebrating Black History Month with a Black History Movie and Market night at The Ambler Theater on February 27th, 2025
March 2025
The Ambler Branch of the NAACP is celebrating Women's Month with a Free and Open to the Public Women's Self-Defense Class at the #1 Gym in PA, King's Corner located at 252 Bethlehem Pike, Colmar, PA 18915 on March 27th, 2025
